Hello hiking friends,

First of all we would like to thank all of you that have contributed information to the AT Parking website (http://appalachianTrail.rohland.org sometimes referred to as http://rohland.homedns.org/at/at_menu.aspx). Because of you, this website has become a reliable source of information about access to the Appalachian Trail.

Over the years, we have received a lot of email requests for information about parking safety. Often we aren't able to provide current information to hikers. So once again we bit the bullet and changed our database to permit collection of parking safety information. Now we need YOUR help again. Would you please navigate to the link above and take a few minutes to rate the safety of AT parking areas that you have used recently or that are familiar to you. Many hikers will use the information that you supply when planning their section/day hikes. The more ratings/reviews for each parking area the more valuable this information becomes to other hikers. So please share your parking experiences with your fellow hikers.
