Hi,

Just wanted to introduce myself. A friend and I are day hiking (for now) the AT. We started in September at the Hudson River in NY and made it to the New Jersey state line last weekend. We take 2 cars and park one at the end and one at the start.

The first hike just about kicked my butt - I was so out of shape. Each one I get stronger and stronger. Too bad the days are getting shorter now!

I think we are both hooked now. We're going to keep going until the weather gets too bad or until we've done all the sections we can reach for a day hike. We've already talked about planning hiking weekends for further away.
