Hi, I am planning a trip with my sister next September for about 1 month on the AT. We have done a lot of canoeing and backpacking in Algonquin, Canada but have decided to try this. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey Ruth and sister

If you can handle Canada you can handle the AT. You wont be on it alone September is a good month to be out there with everyone. good luck with whatever part of the AT your doing IM starting in March for a NOBO from springer to the mighty KAT like to be standing in Maine on my Birthday Sept 1st

Hey Ruth

My advice at that time of year? Go as far south as possible.

Especially by late September the days are going to be short and snow might be falling in New England.

Head for Tennessee / Georgia ... terhaps the Blue Ridge Mountains.
